How to use the SELECT service via bookmark?
First, you have to create a bookmark for this link:
Rate this
If you have problem with the link above (especially on a
Macintosh), please try this one instead:
Rate this (Mac)
Whenever you want to rate a document, or access the SELECT service, just
click on this bookmark, and you will get a small window, where
- you can enter your rate on the currently viewed page,
- you can see the current rates for the currently viewed page,
- you can find/browse rated pages.
Windows
Under Windows just drag the 'Rate this' link above onto your personal toolbar.
(This works with both Netscape and Microsoft Internet Explorer.)
Unix
1. Click on the 'Rate this' link above with the right mouse button, select 'add bookmark for link'.
2. Edit your bookmarks, and move the new bookmark into your personal toolbar folder.
Customization
You can customize your rating bookmark to open the new window as you like
it. This is controlled by the piece of code:
window.open(r,'rateWindow','toolbar=no,scrollbars=yes,resizable=yes,width=400,height=550')
You can edit the bookmark, and change the code to set e.g. the initial size of the window.
You can also rename the bookmark, if you wish.
